The Continuum Project, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides innovative artistic programming for the enrichment and empowerment of communities.

The Continuum Project, Inc.. was officially born March 28, 2008, organically sprouting forth from the great success of In the Continuum, a 2 person, 11 character play co-written by our founder, Nikkole Salter.

The power that simple, but profound production demonstrated in its ability to bridge two a professional artistic aesthetic with community service while bringing people worlds apart together caused Ms. Salter to want to build a space where professional arts execution could actively serve the community while linking people worlds apart.

Ms. Salter, together with incredibly talented artists and arts professionals on board, partnered with African Ancestry, Inc. and Piper Theatre Production, Inc. to launch and facilitate The CP's first initiative - The Legacy Program: Residency - in Brooklyn, NY on March 2, 2009. The LP: Residency is currently in it's 4th Cycle at William Alexander Middle School 51 and looking to expand to the greater NYC area soon. The LP: Reflection - where the professional artists that facilitate the Residency use the experience to create a piece of professional theatre - launched June 25, 2010 with the first concert public reading of Glenn Gordon's RE:DEFINITION. RE:DEFINITION was selected to be a part of the The Hip Hop Theater Festival's 2010 NYC season.
